Meet Charlie Shadid '23

Charlie Shadid is a Sophomore in the Gamma-Rho chapter from Peoria, Illinois. He is double majoring in Law and Criminal Justice and minoring in Classics. His genuine connection with the brothers and his desire to “be a part of something bigger than himself” brought him to Kappa Sigma. Working as one of the Philanthropy Chairs, he says, “In a world full of take, serving others is a chance to give.” Charlie is very active in the greater campus community. He is a UA Philanthropy Advisory Board member and of the sophomore honorary SMORES. He is also the president of J Street U, a campus group advocating for peace and human rights in the Israel-Palestine conflict. After college, Charlie intends to attend law school and eventually become an attorney. He is interested in working in environmental law or criminal defense. Hoping to soon take on a more significant leadership role in the fraternity, Charlie is excited for the future of Kappa Sigma at Arizona.
