Military Heroes

Every day, veterans across southern Arizona face challenges many people never see — housing instability, financial hardship, and barriers to rebuilding stability. 

Primavera Foundation serves veterans through a variety of programs, including outreach, shelters, food assistance and its largest and most robust program, Project Action for Veterans, or PAV. 

PAV serves between 400 and 500 veterans and their families in five southern Arizona counties per year. 

These counties are Pima, Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, and Santa Cruz. PAV helps veterans find safe housing, connect to critical resources, and regain stability through compassionate, personalized support.  

Funded through the Veterans Administration, this short-term, case management driven program provides wrap-around services for housing stability. Support can also include financial assistance to obtain and maintain affordable housing. 

Even with current services, the need continues to grow.

In addition, there are items not covered under the VA grant that are in high demand such as food, clothes, hygiene supplies and animal food and care supplies. And, many veterans may require additional support to overcome everyday challenges and to maintain long-term stability.
