A 2008 graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Matt began developing the leadership foundation that would later define his work across high-growth startups and global organizations.

At Gamma-Rho, Matt quickly emerged as a leader within Kappa Sigma, serving as Rush Chairman, Grand Master of Ceremonies, and ultimately Grand Master. Through these roles, he demonstrated a capacity to lead under pressure, make critical decisions, and take ownership of outcomes—skills that would later translate directly into his professional career. His contributions were recognized through multiple awards and scholarships during his undergraduate years, leaving a lasting mark on the chapter.

Professionally, Matt has built a career at the cutting edge of “Minds & Machines,” focusing on the integration of AI and behavioral science to drive organizational performance. He is currently the Cofounder and Chief Operations Officer of Jasmine Energy, where he leads operational strategy and execution. Prior to this, he held executive leadership roles across several innovative companies, including Cofounder and COO of Temper, Head of Growth at Thrive Global, COO of Boundless Mind, and Head of Business Development at Dopamine Labs.

He is also a frequent speaker at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he shares insights on frontier AI and behavioral systems. As a thought leader, he coauthored Digital Behavioral Design, a framework advocating for responsible, human-centered AI, and authored the Juris Protocol white paper, proposing a human-powered dispute resolution system for blockchain technologies.

Beyond his professional achievements, Matt is deeply committed to service. Since 2018, he has volunteered as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in Los Angeles and contributes his time to the Los Angeles Mission, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness.

Matt lives in Nashville, TN with his wife, Olivia. While their professional and personal journeys continue to evolve, his commitment to mentorship, service, and leadership remains constant.

For Matt, Gamma-Rho and Kappa Sigma represent a defining chapter of personal growth. Through leadership roles and lifelong friendships, he developed the ability to lead with accountability, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to something larger than himself. The influence of alumni mentors and the broader Kappa Sigma network instilled a lasting framework for leadership and success—one that continues to shape how he builds teams, leads organizations, and invests in people today.
