“In general, I believe the fraternity is trying accomplish a noble end which is building the character of young men. The senior alumni at Gamma-Rho have done a great job with the most recent chapter relaunch by recruiting very specific members who value academics and excellence. They have also set strong parameters and guidelines which will hopefully result in better initiates going forward. For me specifically, the Fraternity was a two-edged sword. There were many habits I developed that were less than helpful. On the other hand, many of the guys I went through school with were driven to succeed academically and that really helped me to achieve. The Greek system as a whole allowed me to develop a network and use that network to get more involved in clubs, honoraries, and various groups. I feel my university experience was greatly enhanced by being a part of Kappa Sigma.”
